Hey!! Welcome to me! I am Nicole the creative face behind my personal professional brand. http://nicolehartcreative.com/
That was a mouth full. Last winter during the down time I did a little mini rebrand that never seem to end. One year later I am still tweaking it, eventually I will be happy, eventually.

About this same time last year I decided my poor website was in need of a lot of love! I wasn’t sharing or posting my sessions. The struggle of balancing the kiddos and managing my business is REAL for me! Who can relate? Give yourself a pat on the back, because you are still showing up.
With that, I was need of updating my headshots for my business. My original idea using Oyster, Virginia was not working out the way I had imagined in my head..
It was so windy and I spent HOURS getting myself ready. Kylie had her normal pre-teen attitude. It didn’t help that I was being super ANNOYING.

However we were able to capture a few images I was happy with. My goal was to seem approachable, someone you feel comfortable with during a pretty vulnerable time. In my opinion it is very important to be as real as possible. Are you looking to update your professional presence? Update your social media?
I really enjoy getting to know new people and reconnecting with some of the past faces.

Kylie photographed me with my Nikon 850 (sweating bullets) while I held my old camera the Nikon 610 (a great FULL frame starter camera) First we tracked through the three inches of water from all the rain to get to the wide open (but wind blocked) field behind our property. Second I will have her stand in the ideal spot so I can make sure the settings are good to go! Finally we switch!!!
My main niche is photography. Because of that. I feel it is very important to have a few photos while holding a camera.
No surprises!! Showing up to be exactly the person you researched.
Kylie did a fabulous job listening to my direction while keeping the photos crisp and clean. The f-stop settings range from 1.8 to 2.0. Challenge was directing myself. In front of the camera I am super awkward.

After about three mommy meltdowns, bribing Kylie to come outside ONE MORE TIME, and a Colby photo bombing the last image is by far my favorite.
I kept hollering, yes hollering, is the light on my head? Her facial expressions were hysterical! In the end it was great to have some bonding time…

…because that is what we both actually needed. I got some kick-ass photos to help boost my brand and Kylie got to feel appreciated. Having the kids involved with the business is super important to me. Hopefully they will grow up to be badass at whatever they choose! Watching mommy, being apart of the work, growing a business together. Learning hard work and determination go a long way.
Looking forward to many more sessions like this one.
I am super excited for upcoming personal branding sessions. I have met some pretty cool people. Helping others grow their baby, that is exactly how I approach the branding side of photography.
Hugs and Kisses
